1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pisheru ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Pisheru is a vocabulary-learning application that uses on-device Apple AI to generate educational content including stories, definitions, example sentences, synonyms/antonyms, and AI tutor chat. The App offers both free features and premium subscription plans.

3. User Accounts

• You may use the App without creating an account. Learning data will be stored locally on your device.
• You may optionally sign in with Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In to enable cross-device sync and cloud backup.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your information up to date.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Pisheru offers subscription plans: Monthly ($4.99/month) and Annual ($29.99/year, saving 50%). Both plans include a 3-day free trial.
• Subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any content within it without authorization.
• Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or its associated servers.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App.

6. Intellectual Property

• The App and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by Pisheru and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• The Oxford 3000 and Oxford 5000 word lists referenced in the App are the property of Oxford University Press and are used for educational purposes.
• AI-generated content within the App is provided for educational use and may not be republished or redistributed commercially.
• You retain ownership of any custom words or notes you create within the App.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• The App uses on-device Apple AI to generate educational content. This content is automated and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• The "AI Tutor" feature is not a human and responses are generated by artificial intelligence.
• AI-generated content should not be relied upon for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical advice.
• You should independently verify important information from trusted sources.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.

8. Device Requirements

The App requires a compatible iOS/iPadOS device with sufficient capabilities to run on-device AI features. Some features may be limited or unavailable on devices that do not support Apple's AI frameworks. You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms of Use.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, but these Terms will continue to apply to your prior use.

11. Disclaimers

• THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
• We do not guarantee any specific learning outcomes or results from using the App.
• Educational content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional instruction.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PISHERU AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pisheru, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and/or on our website with a new "Effective" date. Your continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
